Power of Attorney

Read-only reference version — accepted digitally at claim submission

Note

This is the read-only reference version of the Power of Attorney you granted when submitting your claim. Your acceptance (including timestamp and IP address) is recorded in our system as a binding digital signature under the Danish Electronic Signatures Act and EU eIDAS Regulation.

1. Parties

This Power of Attorney is granted by:

  • The Passenger (the person who submitted a compensation claim via https://flightrefund.io — “you” or “the Principal”)

To:

  • FlightRefund.io ApS, registered at [COMPANY ADDRESS], [CITY, POSTCODE, COUNTRY] — “FlightRefund” or “the Agent”

2. Grant of Authority

You hereby appoint FlightRefund.io ApS as your authorised agent and attorney-in-fact for the specific and limited purpose of pursuing your flight compensation claim against the airline named in your claim submission.

This appointment authorises FlightRefund to act in your name and on your behalf in all matters relating to the recovery of compensation under EU Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 and any equivalent applicable national legislation.

3. Scope

Within the scope of this Power of Attorney, FlightRefund is authorised to:

  • Prepare, sign, and submit formal compensation demand letters to the airline in your name
  • Correspond with the airline, its legal representatives, and customer relations teams
  • Submit complaints and representations to the relevant National Enforcement Body (NEB) in your departure country
  • Receive and review correspondence from the airline on your behalf
  • Accept full settlement of your claim at the statutory EU261 amount (€250, €400, or €600 as applicable) without requiring your further approval
  • Receive the compensation payment from the airline on your behalf and disburse your share (after deducting our fee) to your nominated bank account

4. Limitations

This Power of Attorney does NOT authorise FlightRefund to:

  • Initiate civil court proceedings in your name without your express written consent
  • Accept any settlement below the full statutory EU261 amount without first notifying and obtaining your approval
  • Incur any costs or liabilities on your behalf
  • Act in any matter unrelated to the specific flight compensation claim described in your submission
  • Disclose your personal data to any party other than those listed in our Privacy Policy

5. Duration & Revocation

This Power of Attorney remains in effect from the date of your claim submission until the earliest of:

  • Final resolution of your claim (payment, rejection, or closure)
  • Your written revocation of this authority
  • Termination of our services in accordance with the Terms & Conditions

You may revoke this Power of Attorney at any time by sending a written notice to legal@flightrefund.io. Revocation does not affect any actions already taken by FlightRefund on your behalf prior to receipt of the revocation notice.

If you revoke this authority after a claim has been submitted to the airline but before final resolution, and the airline subsequently pays compensation to you directly, you remain liable to pay FlightRefund's fee of 15% on the amount received.

6. Acceptance

By checking the consent checkbox during the claim submission process on https://flightrefund.io, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this Power of Attorney
  • You agree to grant the authority described herein to FlightRefund.io ApS
  • You accept that your digital acceptance (recorded with timestamp and IP address) constitutes a valid and binding signature for the purpose of this Power of Attorney under applicable law

A record of your acceptance, including the date, time, and IP address, is stored securely in our systems and constitutes the signed version of this document applicable to your claim.
